Woodcarving has been and is Terry Jackson’s main passion. For over thirty five years he has practiced it in some form or manner. Mainly used are curved and straight knives with adzes and some chisels along with router and chainsaw for larger roughout of large projects. He knows not to call himself a master carver as carving is always an experience and challenging one as it should be.Terry has always cherished the finish created by sharp tools used with carefully spacing and control.Sanding is something that rounds off sharp edges ,changes subtle curves and actually dulls the wood.Terry recommends that people study outstanding antique objects of the past in northern British Columbia native art
