Beaver and Eaglet -side 1 and 2

A creature of the earth  and the river, a builder, a  protector, the beaver and its young play an  important role in the life of aquatic systems in the northern hemisphere. To  some just a rodent ,to me ,a joy to see in the river ,swimming along with its  scaly tail swinging along behind and its front paws usually carrying something  such as a branch of cottonwood. I hope and pray that the river always has these  citizens.

     There are also some Eagle nests  in this area and the late spring becomes very busy for the Eagle parents as each takes its turn feeding the young eaglets. A young Eagle has to learn the proper hunting and soaring techniques to live a long life. Sometimes they get into quarrels with other birds. The wonder one experiences when seeing an Eagle never fades as I grow older
